Chapter 13 Case Information is now available to clients over the internet. It will no longer be necessary for you to call my office to check status of your pending case, and to have to wait for me to obtain it. This is a service to debtors–that’s you, and is made available on a nationwide basis from the National Data Center. The chapter 13 trustee in Cleveland is part of this network.
Access your Case Information Online
If you have never accessed your chapter 13 case information online then you are a “new user”. To use this service you will have to register for a user name and password. A note of caution, you will be providing some sensitive information here. It is necessary to match your information with that contained in your bankruptcy petition. So, to use the service you will need to have a copy of the petition as filed with the court. You can get that from your bankruptcy attorney.
There are 3 steps to begin using this service.
- Go to www.ndc13.com online. Click on the “Get Started Now” radio button. You need to enter your first name, last name, case number, and social security number exactly as it appears on your bankruptcy petition. Click the “Submit” radio button.
- Step 2 is more or less identity verification. You will need to select a correct creditor name from your petition, your correct mailing address, and the name of your chapter 13 trustee. These are all drop down menus. All you need do is select the correct choice. Be sure to use you petition here because sometime creditors are listed there with names in a format which might appear unfamiliar to you.
- Step 3 is where you select your username and password. Each must be at least 8 characters long. You need to then enter your email address twice. Then click “submit”.
You registration is complete. All you need to do now is check your email given in step 2. You will receive your user name and password. You will be redirected to a login page. Enter your Login into the gray box in the upper left hand corner. You might want to bookmark this page in your web browser for easier access in the
Case Information Customer Service
If you have any trouble in the registration process, or have difficulty logging in you can contact the National Data Center just click on the “contact us” tab on the site. Once you get to the “contact us” be sure to enter the requested information, and be specific in your message. Since they are processing data nationwide you should expect a 1 to 2 day delay for response. You can also call the National Data Center at (866) 938-3639. When you call be sure to have:
- Case Number
- Name of Chapter 13 Trustee
- Social Security Number
- Registered email address
The chapter 13 case information at the National Data Center is provided by your cleveland chapter 13 trustee. This information is available to you as well as your creditors who have an interest in your case.
